Marga tours nationally as one of the first
openly gay comedians in America. In
2009 she appeared on LOGO’s "One
Night Stand-Up" and has appeared on
HBO’s Comic Relief, Showtime’s Latino
Laugh Festival, Comedy Central’s Out
There and the PBS series In the Life.
Marga is profiled in the 2003
documentary Laughing Matters (along
with Kate Clinton and Karen Williams) Her
comedy recording, Hung Like a Fly, is
available on Uproar Records.
Marga Gomez is the winner of The
GLAAD Media Award and Theatre LA
Ovation Award and a nominee of New
York’s Drama Desk Award. She was
named “Best Comedian 2009 and 2008”
by the San Francisco Bay Guardian and
was selected as one of “100 Women We
Love 2009” by GONYC magazine.
